QRS maintains strict standards on the recycled reel type, condition, and sizes that we provide for resale. This ensures that our customers are purchasing recycled reels that will fulfill their intended purpose, meet capacity demands, and function reliably. Responsible recycling initiatives are important components of many of our customer's corporate missions. Reel recycling offers huge savings for our customers that would typically disassemble and dispose of used reels in the landfill.
This ensures that each finished QR certified reel can meet the demands of another usage cycle for our customers. Each reel is assessed for repair requirements, including; Wood damaged or missing from the flanges. Damaged portions of the flanges are removed and replaced with wood that is sound in structural integrity and then re-nailed with new fasteners.
Drum staves that are damaged or missing - Structurally sound new, or recycled, staves are fitted in place to ensure a complete drum.
Hardware is inspected - Missing or damaged reel bolts, washers, and nuts are replaced as needed, then tightened to specs to ensure a good fit.
QR certified reels meet strict standards to perform well.

Quality Reel Solutions maintains an inventory of popular QR certified reel sizes. QR certified reels offer our customers significant savings vs. the cost of new reels. Additionally, this contributes to the efforts of many of our customers who desire to promote and participate in environmentally responsible practices and programs.
We will pick up your used reels free of charge and pass them through our inspection and repair processes. Many wire and cable suppliers choose this method because it mitigates the risks of re-introducing an uncertified reel into their operating process. Customers then buy them back at a discounted price, knowing the reel is ready for work again and won’t damage equipment or product. QRS will issue a credit on the customer’s account for any reels returned. This saves our customers the cost of breaking down and disposing of the reels.
QRS has one of the six largest clinch nailers in the world ( manufactured in the US) with capabilities of nailing up to 10’ reels with 4.5” nails.
QRS strives to source only domestically produced raw materials and components, from the Southern Yellow Pine, which is processed at local sawmills..
Clinch nailing is far superior to wire nailing and standard impact nailing, which uses ring and screw shank nails. Clinching is a proven process which turns the tip of the nail back into the flange as it’s being driven to ensure that boards will never separate and that the nail won’t back out damaging your product.
Our design team is always willing to think outside the box to meet your unique reel needs. Just ask us how we can solve your unique challenges.

To accommodate its customers, QRS has outgrown our facilities 3 times, having just moved into our 3rd upgrade in March of 2020. We inventory all standard sizes conveniently located in Houston and Dallas.
